| Been having trouble with my 8650 again. Last Friday, it put up a DEF error and code E4356. It started derating the engine but I was able to keep planting until the dealer arrived. He replaced the DEF module under the step and it went away. I planted all that day and the next with no issue. Sunday, I started the tractor up and moved a few miles to the next farm and the error was back. I shut it down and did a battery reset and the DEF error indicator never came back all day. Monday, I moved the tractor an hour to the next farm, and let that farm dry to plant yesterday. I started it up yesterday and started planting and the DEF error indicator came back. I checked the codes on the display then and it showed E4356 and E4332. I shut down at one point and did another battery reset and they didn't clear. I kept working on it as this was the last farm to plant and I was a couple hours from done. I moved to the last field, shut down, reset, didn't go away. In this little field, it started derating and I had to shut down and reset in the middle of the field. Did another reset before leaving and made it about 15 minutes before derating again and shutting down on the side of the road and resetting. Made another 10 minutes or so and did it again.
At this point, I'm 10 minutes from the shed. Just prior to this reset, I got a tortoise and exclamation point on the left display and the tractor coasted down. I got going again after the final reset and made it about half a mile and that was back. I went the rest of the way in tortoise range. New code, T4151.
I'm at a loss here. I made it through planting (the first time) but something is wrong here and I've got the tech coming today to work with dad on it. Any thoughts on what might be going on here? Personally, I'm thinking that I have a ground or battery issue, that is messing with voltage, but who knows. I haven't had time to take that all apart and clean up real good and load test the batteries.
On the DEF issue, the hoses (paired set) has been replaced, the module, and the power distribution box above the batteries.
One other thing, when I start it up from time to time, the red exclamation point and oil pressure indicator lights will light up on the dash for 10-15 seconds. I have had a couple times that the planter has errored on low voltage at startup. This sort of leads me to my beliefs.
I'd appreciate any thoughts and experience on these issues.
