Elsmore, Kansas | Will these things take out weeds??? Do they work as a good one pass machine ahead of a planter??? Do they ridge??? We currently run a turbo max but I have come to the conclusion that they r the most absolute biggest waste of money ever. They do leave a really nice seed bed but that's were anything good ends. I'm not a fan of tillage but I do like to get our dry fertilizer incorporated into the soil ahead of corn and with the weeds become resistant so rapidly to chems I'm thinking I would like to cut out that first burndown pass and use something like the true tandem 330 or 335 to make 1 pass in the spring and leave the sprayer in the shed. Idk if it's the rite or wrong move but it's something I'm thinking very hard about. Also how much hp does one of these machines take? We have a 435 stieger and a 370 magnum that would be used to pull it. Our farm is in a transition phase w the death of my GPA back in March so since I own the 370 I would like to buy a machine that would match well to it but the 435 is still an option. We r flat but we do have lots of terraces. I would really appreciate any thoughts and or opinions u guys have so thanks in advance for taking some time to chime in! | |
