red river valley se of fargo | I'm pretty much illiterate when it comes to all the futures talk but I am a client of an marketing advisory service and I had brought up the notion of purchasing call options for this fall/winter in feeders to risk protect my expected purchase needs for my small feedlot. He is looking into it now and we will discuss tomorrow. I'm just wondering if with the generally poor calving weather over a pretty large swath of cattle country if this is a plausible play? Obviously it's no secret there have been some challenges but have the traders in Chicago already priced the options out of reach? |
