Had that happen to one of our cards with a recurring payment and Microsoft kept getting the updated card information from the CC company and charges kept coming on the new card even before they were activated. Apparently Microsoft has a deal with the CC companies to automatically update the card information when an new card is sent out so that autopay services are not interrupted; in this case the thief did not even have the new numbers, but could charge to the card. | |
