Subject: Full Season Cover Mixes

NW MN
Hi All,
Doing some planning for a season-long cover crop in NW MN that will be grazed in Dec-Jan. We'd probably seed it end of May/early June. Field is pretty light soil and looking to increase soil microbes and OM. Was peas followed by oat CC mix, and will likely be corn next year. Thinking maybe things like Sorghum-sudan, annual ryegrass, cowpea, sun hemp, buckwheat, hairy vetch, and some brassicas. Going for diversity, so would like a good mix of species. I've heard millets don't maintain quality after freezing?

Anything I'm missing that I should include? Anyone have mixes they've done in the past?
TIA
