South Central Iowa | It's really warm and wet here. We haven't had ice that needed cut all winter. The ground won't freeze completely. It's muddy. The outlook through the 20th is the same. Highs from 40-55 and lows from 20-35. This is unusual. I'm not complaining, I like it excepting the mud. I feel like I live about 800 miles south. Cattle ruined part of a pasture though.... Usually it's frozen when we load them heavy up front....
Any weather people mentioning how this winter pattern relates to spring and summer weather?
Great subsoil moisture, which is half the battle. I hope to God we don't have another borderline drought here. I'm so sick of getting 85%-90% yields... Could be worse, but it's very frustrating.
Do warm, moist winters correlate to anything? Is it warm and wet where you are at too?
