Subject: Sold beans this morning


Central ND		Right or wrong sold 1/2 of our beans we were holding on the farm. Figured with our 1.65 we got wasn’t a terrible price and turns a small profit live to fight another day.

Ya who knows I sold out for Jan -March Delivery back in Dec when we had a bump when trump met with china. Don't have much hope for Beans till we get some big export sales. Would like to see another bump for 2019 beans but who knows what basis will be in northern mn next fall dont see any bids yet.
Edit - I hadn't looked at the markets over the holidays looks like basis has improved for jan march delivery and cash beans is back up to dec highs.

I am on the east coast of North Carolina. We are running on a-35 bases. Just wondering what bases in your area.

I'm just east of Mbmaring about 30 miles but our basis is -1.10 for jan/feb and -1.33 for april-july.

Nw Iowa		We sold about 8-9 of our 18 crop today. Think it i# going to get better, but nice weather and needed to get tops off of bins. -62 here under march.
