Subject: AGCO tractors software-service


Southern IL Randolph County		If a guy were to purchase an AGCO Challenger tractor, would my servicing dealer that sells Massey only have the capability to service the Challenger machine and order parts? We have a couple of AGCO orange machines now and have noticed the yellows ones seem to be a good buy. The CVT is great and I know a lot of the good and bad that we have had with our 09' 205b. Mainly concerned if it is possible to have one serviced locally. Thanks

No have to be a challenger dealer to be to run the diagnostics. Lot of the parts will be the same specific parts can only be ordered through challenger dealer.

my massey dealer said he can handle challenger.

NE NEBRASKA		In my area one Agco/Massey dealer plays stupid and won't even try to do anything to help someone with a Challenger. The other Agco/Massey dealer will do anything saying Massey/Challenger exact same machines just different color, numbers.

I know at one time a MF dealer could not access the challenger software....didn't make sense to me. Local tech (MF dealership) said a few years ago that changed.....

It happened to be a question after I bought my 665B from Auctiontime….I was pleased to find out he was able to work on it.
