| I'm harvesting my own for the first time this year. Doing a little more HMC than I expected. I was going to fill two semi's and 2 carts with grain tonight. 28% moisture. Feedlot opens at 1 PM. As I was filling the first truck I got nervous thinking about how long that stuff would be sitting in the carts and the trucks before it got dumped and I chickened out after filling one truck and half a cart.
Now I'm thinking about going over and dumping the half cart load into the empty truck tomorrow morning in the hopes that I prevent issues getting the cart empty.
In the past my harvest crew analyzed these issues. I'd never really thought about it too much. What do you do? I wouldn't be nervous if they opened at 8 but they open at 1 tomorrow so that seems like more of a stretch.
