Subject: Why the difference in weight on 10-34-0?

Kentucky
What is the most reliable weight to use for 10-34-0 per gallon. I think Penn State lists 11.4 #/gallon and I see 11.65-11.66 #/g used a lot. I even found an 11.78#/g on one site. What makes the variation if you started with 11-37-0 (11.9#/g) to make the 10-34-0? Does the density vary by supplier due to base materials? It's not unusual to have local dealers (getting it from the same source) give different densities.

I don't think this will change my agronomic practices in any earth shaking way, but I thought I'd probe the knowledge of this group instead of staying confused.

Thanks,
