Subject: Truck brake lights on all the time.

Southeastern Indiana
1980 Pete 359 and my problem is the brake lights are on all the time, keyed power.
I found the switch on the firewall that is sending current to the brake lights, I have replaced the switch and still the same problem. From what I understand when the brake pedal is pressed it sends air pressure to the manifold to disconnect the contacts in the switch. Is this correct? I would think sending air pressure to the switch would make the lights come on, not off.
Thanks
