SW Iowa | Was at the Farm Progress show looking over the new balers to see what CIH, Deere, and Vermeer had to offer. The Vermeer really looks stout. The CIH has to a lot of rollers that supposedly pack the hay better but look like a PIA to me.
Currently custom bale with a 568 (pulled by a 4430) that I don't have any complaints with, has 19,000 bales on it and planned on running another season it but after looking at the 605SM Cornstalk Special I may think about trading for a used model. Only run 2000/yr with about 500 of it stalks but been picking up more stalk balin last couple years and think this may be the way to go.
Deere store is 5 miles away and Vermeer is 25 miles.
Anyone got anything good or bad to say on this?
