HHmmm thought this was very interesting. SO if it is illegal to sell milk over the allowable SCC you get shutdown. If I sell contaminated milk with off label drug use I get shut down. If I spread manure outside of my approved waste management plan I get thrown in jail or at least fined till I am out of business BUUUUTTTTT if I hire a bunch of illegals my industry has a moral obligation to defend me even if they are going broke in the process. The fact that a dairy leader can go to Washington and lobby to allow this behavior is despicable as well as detrimental to this industry.
This particular newspaper has several articles in the last year openly acknowledging and even encouraging this illegal behavior. Before we start to implement Supply Management or a base plus program why don't we get rid of serial offenders of immigration laws?
