East Central Saskatchewan | We haven't had anything serious happen in our small town for quite a few years Now, but this week has been rough.
Yesterday, a neighbours house a block away caught fire and was completely destroyed, only thing the family saved was a few of the kids toys that they could grab. If the mother had not gotten up to feed her newborn baby, there would have been a good chance the whole family of 5 would have died. Luckily no one was hurt, but pretty much everything was lost.
And then today again, I got news that there was a crash at the highway intersection just leaving town, and our backyard neighbour was killed. She also only lived a few houses down on the same street from the one that burned. She was a very nice person who really helped in the community and did a lot of work for everyone, and was also good friends with a lot of people I know well including myself.
Just amazing how tragedy can happen so quickly, really makes yourself remember how precious what we have and our lives are. |
