Pierce county WI | So my agronomist's favorite saying is and 32oz of cornerstone......... In the corn, we didn't have much grass, and we used capreno and diflex. Wouldn't oil work fine to heat up the diflex? My beans are 90% no till. 1/3 liberty. All the beans no till got glyphosate and dual 2 Magnum burndown/ pre. The dual worked good, but didn't hold all the waterhemp back. Syngenta is standing behind it, and giving me more group 15. It did an excellent job on the grasses. So there's a little bit of small ragweed, and waterhemp. I said give me straight flexstar. He said don't you want gt? As it turns out, genuine flexstar is only $8/acre. So if there's no grasses, why do I need glyphosate? I spiked it with group 15, and crop oil. I kinda want to try to completely eliminate glyphosate for a few years, and then maybe put it into the rotation again? Am I crazy? My agronomist is very good, not a knock on him. I just think maybe we are overdoing the glyphosate, even when it doesn't work as good. | |
