Subject: WI man under water 2-1/2 hours in cab of dozer rescued!

West Central Wisconsin
I find this story amazing! The dozer operator was pushing sand into a retention pond when the ground let loose sending him into 30 feet of water. He remained trapped in the cab until rescued for 2-1/2 hours while workers broke through the retention pond walls to release the water for the rescue. First, I find the fact the dozer could be that air tight for that time amazing and that he did not run out of oxygen. A true testament to the manufacturer! Kudos to fellow workers and rescue involved.

On a side note it seems the local newspaper made more of the release of water than of the rescue. http://lacrossetribune.com/news/local/million-gallons-of-mine-sludg...
