I am wondering what the general consensus is on acres to justify a self propelled cutter. We currently grow grass hay, oats, alfalfa, sorghum, and millet and are looking at a challenger or massey 9860. We currently run two 1475 new hollands with 18' heads that are 10 plus years pulled with a 4850 and a 4640. We are trying to get more fuel efficient and run just one machine with less man power.
