Subject: Burning brush piles with silage blower?

Blue Grass (Eastern IA)
I have several green brush piles of trees I pulled out with the excavator last week. Would it work to rotate the band of an old silage blower so the spout is horizontal and then use it to fan the flames to burn the piles now rather than waiting a few years for the wood to dry. Is it possible tp get the root balls to burn up if the soil is all off?
