Subject: Sprayers: Apache 1025 vs JD 4023

Eastern Arkansas
I am in the market for a light sprayer. My R4038 ruts to bad on heavy land. Even with floaters it’s just to heavy in the spring in certain ground.

The two choices I have narrowed it down to is the Apache 1025 or the new John Deere 4023 which is the same as a 4630.

The Apache holds 1000 gallons vs the 4023 at 600 gallons. But they weigh the same. I know the 4023 does not leave a rut and will work for what I want. Is the Apache balanced well enough that with 600 Gallons in the tank, with the same width tires, will it do about the same?

I know that my R4038 actually ruts less than my 4730 did because it’s balanced so much better.
