How do you know when wheat tillering ends?
East central Indiana
I'm on my 4th leaf. And some just had the fifth leaf come out the top.
Read where people say tillering ends by mid March however does growing degree days
(GDD's
) also factor in?
This wheat was almost three weeks to get out of the ground.
