Subject: Smaller Shops

While I love to see huge sprawling shops, I have come to realize that one of those is not necessary for me as I work alone, nor can I afford one. For instance, i could never justify putting in a huge door simply so i could fit a grain head in while attached to the combine, or making a shop long enough to back in a semi and trailer as i may need to do that only once in a while. I am interested in seeing some pics of shops that are 60'x60'or less. Interested in how people with a smaller footprint shop design and layout their work space for good efficiency. Have a 42'x64' Morton now and thinking of adding a 42'x54' addition on the end, 4' taller than existing building. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the wonderful shops some folks have shared on here, but with current crop prices and the fact that I am getting no younger, my expectations have come back to reality a bit. It's hard to get space saving ideas from a person who has a shop that is 100'x200', though they do make me envious. I am happy for those who have had enough success to need and build one like that, but really doesn't apply to me at this time. Thanks.
