I'm sort of looking at buying a 1/2inch drive cordless impact wrench because the deep dishes on some of the wheels make using a big ratchet a 2 man job with such a long extension (410mm) on the socket. Now then.... I can get a Milwaukee 1000nm wrench with 5 amp battery and charger for £308.00 on line. or a similar Makita wrench in town that also repairs them with a dual battery charger for about another £60. I really have no brand loyalty with anything much so am not interested in that. I think a similar Dewalt is maybe a bit more. Do the panel think it's better to buy locally for a little bit more money, or buy on line (I spoke to them this morning and they seem very keen). Makita seem to have a bigger line of other cordless tools that I could use the same battery for should the unlikely need arise. I doubt there is much to choose between the two as a product, other than the Makita has 3 torque settings. |
