South Mississippi | I’ve been reading ag talk for a couple years but never posted. I grew up on a beef farm but due to circumstances got out of the family farm. I still enjoy reading and talking about agriculture so here I am. We didn’t row crop and not many people do in our area. I was talking to a friend at work about the one neighbor that does row crop and said I’d always wanted to try it. Friend replied” I wouldn’t want to do it with less than a few thousand acres.”
So my question, what equipment would you want to cover 7000 acres, non irrigated,no till, sandy soils, soybeans-winter wheat/double crop beans-corn rotation?
Location south Mississippi.
I have no intention of trying this, just wanted to see what agtalk had to say.
