Subject: Soil Sampling with InCommand 1200

Central Ohio
AgTalk,

We recently purchased the Intellislope drainage plow control system for our Gold Digger Pro. We are running it through the InCommand 1200 with a GPS6500 reciever. We are all Deere precision ag equipment otherwise as far as displays and receivers. Therefore when we are done tiling late spring the display just sits in the shop and does nothing as well as the receiver just sits on the plow.

We currently hire all of our surveying done for drainage plans and hire all of our soil sampling done too.

Im looking for ways to make our operation more lean and use our resources as efficiently and effectively as possible.

I know in the past (Integra display) I understand that the displays have not been capable of soil sampling but haven't heard anything about the InCommand 1200. Are there any AgLeader gurus that could tell me whether or not they are capable? I really dont want to go and spend the money to buy a ruggedized computer and SMS mobile and have a large investment in a one dimensional tool.
