Middle Tennessee | Currently unroll round bales for cows during muddy times. Tennessee clay coupled with a shallow rock equals a mud hole. Since we started unrolling calf losses are down and cows are not dragging through mud or frozen ruts. As everyone works off the farm, it is a chore to unroll hay in the dark and with age it is getting to be a bigger chore. I kind of think one of the processors that windrow hay in the field might be a good option. Question is what kind and how cheaply can we get in. Feed probably 750 5x6 per year in 8 different fields.
