| Do you think would occur on fat cattle being loaded at 4 pm, hauled less than an hour away to a sale barn? They would be sold the following morning and they have hay and water provided. How would that compare to going direct to a packer at a similar distance with a 2.5-3.5% pencil shrink? The way I understand it they would shrink in reality plus whatever the pencil shrink is? Correct me if I’m wrong. I’m just trying to compare selling at a barn vs direct. TIA | |
