Southern Illinois | Does anyone have any experience with the Kohler generator behind the 8.1 Chevy. this one has always had some quirks to it but actually ran for three days straight Saturday Sunday and Monday. Now it will run for exactly 60 Seconds and shut the engine off he was able to get a cord and program for his laptop to connect to the engine controller and everything looks good there and it did not have any fault codes. We have electrical tested the oil water and temperature Murphy switches and they are good. The fault light that comes up on the generator portion says auxiliary fault. We do have some service manuals for it but there are multiple configurations of the circuit board depending on the engine driving the generator so the manual is not extra helpful. Prior to this year it would usually run 10 to 12 hours before it shut off so it wasn't as big a deal and then it just kind of started working at the end of last year's corn drying. So we thought it was fixed especially since it ran early or in this week. We are kind of narrowing it down to thinking it is something in the circuit board but really can't prove that and we all believe it will be something simple we just can't figure it out. | |
