| There are several variations. Some with adjustable slip clutches, some with instant clutches that disconnect the drive when you pull back on the driver, some with impact drives so a little driver will drive bigger screws. The instant clutch types are preferred for dry wall because its easy to pull a screw head through dry wall. There are attachments for those to automatically pull back when the screw head gets flush with the dry wall. I don't do dry wall and I like the little impact battery driver. With it the torque depends on the position of the trigger.
