-North Mo | Between needing shade and wanting to reduce hoof traffic on my new fescue - Sunday afternoon I decided I needed to move my water. Pretty much put this together with nothing in under an hour - however maybe might work until I have time to get what I need and time to do it right. ( this weekend) It's a 1000 gallon tank for 48 head - need 5 hours of sun a day. Rough but working - the water is coming out of the vent on top of the hill, I screwed a 10' stand pipe on the discard to produce enough static pressure to push up the vent pipe. Small stream as its near 6 pm - not much power left in the sun and at a bad angle, they have just hit it headed out to graze.
Sure pleased with how they are eating this new fescue - mid July it'd take a pretty good fencer to make them clean mature K31 like this.
This time of year one needs to carry gas and a throwing cup at all times - no matter filling mineral feeders, opening gates these suckers can really make a guys blood boil when least expecting.
