Subject: When to test silage/haylage bales...

Parsons Kansas
I've baled up some alfalfa at about 60% moisture and about 20% bloom. Bales are individually wrapped with 14 wraps of silage film. I've tried to find out how long I wait before pulling some samples to have checked for nutritional value. I've read wait 2 weeks, another said 4 weeks, and yet another source said wait 6 weeks. I don't know which one is right.

I'm selling all this baleage so I need to have an accurate test results to show potential buyers. Someone please help me out. Thanks Darren
