I am looking to purchase a 1770 Deere Planter, that I will pull with our IH 5088 tractor. The planter is vacuum, and has 2 hydraulic drives. My question is, what is the best way to set up the hydraulics on this. Should I run all of the hydraulic drives and vac motors off of the pto pump? I am wondering if any of you have built a home made pto pump system for this planter, as I think that would be much cheaper than buying a system.
