| I have viewed some great comments on cover crops from this group. We have been working with them for a few years and have stand establishment figured out. However, we have always terminated early so we did not have any issues planting. This year, I would like to plant green and then spray or spray and plant shortly after for beans. For corn, I will terminate and then wait to plant- cover is not a good as it was seeded late on these fields. I have attached some pics of the planter set-up and the most advanced cover crop field. The planter has row cleaners that are shark tooth, after this double disk opener and then spike closing wheel with chain. What am I in for if I try to plant in rye that will be 12 inches plus tall? What planter modifications would you recommend? Thanks for any thoughts you have.
