I have john deere 7000 planter and I want to reduce side wall compaction and improve seed to soil contact in notill. I have heavy soil, so sidewall compaction can be an issue. I am wanting to buy some yetter 6200-006 poly spiked closing wheel inserts and put one on each row. Does anyone have experience doing this? Also, do drag chains help much with this configuration, or should I try it without chains? Thanks.
