Subject: Rogator 854 issues

IA
Have a 1997 Rogator 854 that has me stumped. I know some on here have been around them long enough that they know them like the back of their hand. The problem with mine is the left rear wheel. When moving the machine the axle tubing will rock back and forth in the axle housing. All four rubber spacers are in place and do not look worn. At first i suspected that possibly a bearing was going out causing it to grab. I checked temperature on wheel motor after noticing issue but all wheel motors were 93-95F. I then noticed that this particular wheel motor is a black bruin where as the others are valmet. Could it possibly be some type of hydostat issue such as a relief valve sticking? Debris in the line somewhere blocking oil flow? Other issue? What should i check first?

I have fixed a couple minor issues on it already. It was purging air about every 55 seconds. With a new air governor it now takes over 10 minutes for it to cycle. Also replaced the flex exhaust under the cab due to leaking. Will be extending the boom from 80' to 90' and fixing a slight tweek in the end of the boom. The plastic fenders are warped enough that they are rubbing on the tires so will either take them off completely or try to find some in good condition from a salvage yard. Bray valves work as should after plumbing in an inlet line to the air tank and fixing a couple minor leaks. Some bray valve numbers start with a 90-**** and others start with a 92-****. I take it this is the series number. Correct? Have not had one apart but will get seal kits on hand so will have when needed.

When looking the machine over i saw what i believed to be some type of electric valve hanging by the foamer tank. On a picture in another thread i found out it is suppose to attach to the foamer tank and has a rubber line on the other side that goes back towards the cab on the right side. I traced this line and found out mine doesnt really go anywhere. Mine just hangs off the front of the hydraulic tank and doesnt have any fitting on it. Is this supposed to be attached to something in the cab or elsewhere? is it even needed?

I will only be spraying about 1000 aces a year with it so dont need to set any land speed records like some custom applicators do. With spring ride chassis and air ride seat what kind of speed should i be looking at? Even at 6 mph its covering alot of area in a hurry. Its currently equipped with a Raven 460 but thinking about adding a gps that is within 12". Is a Raven Cruizer 2 with helix antenna a good economical option? Would i regret not getting the Accuboom with it?

Sorry for such long rambling but figured it was better than multiple threads.
