Lowcountry SC | Our soil copper levels here are low, <0.1 ppm so I did a little experimenting on 20 acres. I didn't feel like I could make an even application with dry material so my pondering led to the sprayer and stream jets. Couldn't find copper sulfate local so took to the internet and found 25% fine ground copper sulfate that I thought would agitate well enough it wouldn't clog up the steamers. Turns out I was right for a change, ran 25 gpa applying 16.5 lbs/ac or actual 4 lbs copper and never clogged a tip or strainer. Hoping it will boost the soil ppm for a few years, guess time will tell. Just wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were or if I should take another route? TIA | |
