Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | When a couple is in a sales person's office, moderately significant non-machinery purchase at hand, do any other wives become irritated if the sales person acts as though the husband is the only person whose opinion matters? Maybe I'm a fool (probably am) but I truly thought we'd gotten past this crap over the years. And this was a fairly young guy, maybe 30 tops. This guy did ask me some direct questions, which I answered, and we visited a bit. I participated in the discussion as much as my hubs did. Then, when we're ready to leave, he thanks my hubs by name for stopping in today. Not "thank you both", zip-squat acknowledgement to me at all. I did stick my head back in his door and reminded him that we both had spent quite a bit of time with him today and he'd perhaps want to modify his closing on the next customer and he'd have better success. Anyone else find this to be a deal-breaker? |
