South central Minnesota | The question was asked below if the USDA would add to last years production and today the answer was no, USDA lowered 2015 production 2.82 million bushels. Yield stayed the same but dropped harvested by 82,000 acres. Significant, no but it wasn't evidently expected.
197 million bushels on hand, farmers don't have as much on the farm as last year as of sept 1st, down 16% at 41.560 mb , off farm is up 10% over a year ago at 155.485 mb. Analysts were expecting somewhat higher total but not far off.
Very good soybean crop this year here, should be equal to last year locally except less acres planted and with water still affecting areas we'll probably be down somewhat on harvested. Harvest is slow to roll and very few fields will be completely harvested. It is the land of 10,000 lakes.....in every county | |
