Anamoose, ND | I decided to rebuild the slide hitch on our 5300. I originally decided to rebuild using a 1" catch pin and 1-1/8 pin holes with the idea that the catch pin would drop in easier. Well after welding in two 1-1/8 bushings in slide hitch and the top of the catch pin mount I tried a 1" shaft but I really didn't like how much play their was. I decided to use all 1-1/8 shaft with the new 1-1/8 bushing and it all fits much tighter now. I tapered the shaft and bushing in the sliding hitch so it drops in very nice. I also rebuild the stop that drops down. All and all it turned out very well.
