Subject: JD 7200 revisited.

nebraska

Nice day outside today and got a closer look at my new to me planter. Turns out I have a 5x7 inch tool bar. Took all the boxes off for further cleaning and realized that I do not have the square bar I thought I had. The seller made a point that there was 4 down pressure springs. I did not think a lot about that at the time. I had not been around a john deere planter since the 494A that my late father had. Can you fellows give me some education on what I have bought? It does have the wavy cutters in front of the opening discs. I need it to be a no till planter. It looks heavy enough, but I am unsure that it will work for no till. Corn soybean rotation. TIA
