![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=9649&type=profile&rnd=662) King City, Mo | Here in NWMO we have grown hard and soft wheat before. You cross the Missouri River west and they won't speak of hard wheat.
Dad got pissed when soft wheat sprouted in the head one year in the early 1990s and quit wheat for over a decade until I wanted to grow some in 2004.
We grew hard wheat for a few years and then grew soft twice and In 2013/14 it winter killed.
Looking at my aph it doesn't matter if it's hard or soft I'm still above the county with mostly a hard wheat history.
So why do you plant hard or soft wheat?
What varieties of hard wheat do you like? I forgot the name of the wheat we grew when we grew it.
Has anyone had hard wheat go 100bu? We've had some go 80 before.
