| Two row peanut machines has about become obsolete in the farm sector but there are still some around but parts availability is a issue with several machines due to age or manufacture has went out of business. However some parts are common and simple to replace , some would have to be fabricated if possible and cost feasible. I am thinking about maybe buying some 2 row peanut equipment for working a few acres. Which make and model 2 row picker...... 1500 Lilliston , 2000 Roanoke Hustler, 5000 Roanoke Hustler, Hobbs 525, Hobbs 8557 Magnum, KMC, Long ......would be the best to consider seeking out while taking into consideration the following factors.
a. For use on both green and dry peanuts
b. Would be simple to set ,fine tune, maintain and keep up
c. Would do the best job cleaning peanuts for retail consumer market
TIA for helpful information of the good and bad of machines. Open to suggestions and knowledge of other models of peanut combines as well. Any information to where good 2 row combine , 2 row digger may be available for sale will be appreciated. Learning as I go.
Machines like the ones in pictures, in working condition when parked ........will need some work.........before going back to field. What would be a reasonable value for each?
