Subject: success straightening header reel

Manitoba
had a 30' 1020 header with a pretty good bow in it. I asked regarding how to repair it here on Agtalk a while back and thought I should mention how well the technique of using a torch to heat a band on the tube (opposite the bow). It's amazing how that sucks the tube back in line. After heating a band about a 1/3 of the way around I could step back and actually see it straighten as it cooled. I just let it air cool but it did not take long. ended up doing this in about 3 spots and it's close enough to perfect for me.

thought I'd mention it in case someone was facing something similar and not sure about giving it a try. Thanks to those who suggested it.
