If spring corn price is 4.62, what price does revenue protection trigger if fall price is $3.ish? Just curious.

APH around 200

80% coverage

That depends on what your actual harvest production is. Give us a yield guess and then it can be figured.

If you yield 240.... The price has to go below $3.08.... Depends on your actual production.

You are guaranteed $739.20 of revenue. You need a harvest price of less than $3.70 to start collecting at 200 BPA.

At this point I would guess yield to be slightly above average. I will be surprised if it turns out better than 205-210 average though.

208 bushel per acre.....any price under $3.55 you get paid Pammy!

Example...208 yield....fall insurance price of 3.25.......you will collect $63.20 per acre

Hope this helps

New Mexico
on the way.

Be a bunch of that in 2015.

It's designed for nuts, fruits, produce etc., AND ALL other Revenue sources of the farm.

my thinking is the writhing is on the wall as far as places like CA producing basically the majority of usa produce.
( the drought is to long, to big...non fathamable and non changeable...maybe for a long time to come )

The Midwest is going to see more crop type changes.
Perhaps the government wants some crop changes...thus they are helping with some lucrative insuring of such.
Produce is generally not big dog acres ( But it beats the big dogs every time on Income per acre by 5X to 25X Gross and NET )

Once your in on Gross Farm Revenue Ins...it appears to be designed to eventually cover Everything.

course it also appears you'll never get in without producing some produce, fruits, nuts, veggies and the like.

gotta give credit where credit is due: the government timing on this is great.
perhaps they recognize the weather has gotten Extreme and climate times ( thus traditional crop areas ) are changing.
( matter of fact, some crop areas are now "used to be " crop areas in the usa.

We have reached the level of no price risk for corn. Between crop ins and the new farm program, all the down side risk is on the gov. You will collect on both.
