kirby,Ohio | I have a john deere 3010 gas and I'm have throttle trouble, i use it Friday to hualin cattle **** when i was going down the road wide open and in the field the throttle would work it back way up to from 1800 rpm to 1500 rpm and I look though the tech book to see how to tighting it back up and i didn't find any thing in the book so i look on the tractor to see what was lose and i don't see any thing on the throttle to tight up. So i am not sure what to look for to tightin up.

Remove the little instruction door and you should see a 1/2 or 9/16 bolt up under there. Give it about half a turn and see how the throttle feels.

South cental Ohio | Half inch bolt head and if you pull the throttle down a little when you adjust it, it will line the bolthead up straighter and a 1/2" socket on a long 1/4 or 3/8 extention works good.

Unless the fiber disk is shot , and the new versions ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just as well leave them at the parts counter! This is were a small cut off wheel comes in handy , make your own !

South cental Ohio | Your pics don't show the bolt that you tighten. It isn't the linkage, it is a resistance ring that is on the steering column. Go through the little door at knee height above the key and light switch - straight up twards the steering column / tach and you should see a 5/16 bolt with a 1/2 head. Just turn it in until you get the feel on your throttle that you want--- if that is what you are asking to do. Like I said earlier, if you pull the throttle lever down just a bit, you should be able to get a thinwall socket on it with a long extention.
