| Always been fascinated with machine shop work, using mills and lathes etc. We always seem to need this and that machined and have several people to lean on when the need has occured but with the new shop, I decided to try it myself.
I personally figure that a mill and a lathe is an efficent way for me to turn expensive tooling and metal into scrap but gotta learn sometime.
It is an Induma mill with 2 axis DRO and a 13 inch South Bend lathe. I got the mill with a rotary phase convertor which will handle the mill and lathe together but need to get them wired together.
A question though, How does the import tooling and equipment like Shars brand hold up for occasional usage? Not going to be working it daily and I doubt my skills would show the diffeence between it and the high end good stuff.
