Northwest Tennessee | Any thoughts on each. Have been using WIX for years. Been getting some prices on Baldwins also lately. Thoughts on if they are of equal, lesser or greater quality. Oil, air and hydraulic filters. Used on Tractors, combines, trucks, backhoe, dozers, etc.....

NE WI | Been using baldwin for about 5 years now. No problems with them at all. Get them all from Shoup. No experience with Wix since we used OEM before that but they got pricey.

Warburg, AB | Used them both, wix oil filters, and Baldwin oil and fuel and no issues. Have been happy with what comes out of the pan but have yet to try them with oil analysis. Bruce

Not sure I would say either is better. Fleetguard is another good one too. I buy whatever is the best price. Have a tractor here that has never had anything but baldwin in 32 years and it hadn't been touched. If I were to spend money on a good filter it would be Donaldson Endurance with synthetic media the rest are all paper when it comes down to it.

I use a fair amount of Baldwin filters, getting them from Shoup also. Never had any problems with JD or Ford/New Holland equipment.

Northern CA | We have use Baldwin for about five years too with no problems. I have had some oil analysis done and the sample is fine.

Vicksburg MI 49097 | I would say that Baldwin and WIX are very equal. WIX makes all of the filters for NAPA but I get a lot better prices from Heavy Truck suppliers than from NAPA I think Donaldson may make better quality air filters. I think Fram may be a step below WIX and Baldwin also. Years ago I had a Dealer that sold Luberfiner but I was not impressed with them.

New castle PA | Get the Wix/Napa filters. Baldwin has started going by the way of the green planter. China

Baldwins are excellent filters. Have been buying them for 40 years an have good luck. They particular on quality. I either use OEM filters or Baldwin for my applications. Have used Baldwin on my irrigation motor for 25 seasons. Has 15,000 hours on it an still running great.

SE Michigan | www.bobistheoilguy.com this site will answer any and all questions you could ever have on oil and oil filters. As far as filters run wix/napa gold in all equipment. You can't beat napa's filters prices when they have their sale going on.

southcentral nebraska | Baldwin makes filters for wix and several company's. There as good as any. They have bought out much of their competition.

New castle PA | bedplanter - 1/3/2014 09:16 Baldwin makes filters for wix and several company's. There as good as any. They have bought out much of their competition. I don't think that's accurate. Baldwin and Wix are separate companies. Where did you read that?

NW KS/ SC ID | both are used around here, both outsource a little, but try to keep the majority of production in the US. Wix Seems ot have a few more US made filter though, at least on the numbers we use. I personally run wix on my pickup fleet.
