| Below are some seasonal price charts for the grain markets.
All of the seasonal charts are based on the 1992 to 2012 Time Period.
When analyzing these types of charts for patterns, it is more important to note the timing of market trend changes than to note the magnitude of the price change percentage.
Most traders have been told that both corn and soybeans tend to turn near the first week of July, but notice that corn tends to top in the first week of June.
Even though this year's crops were planted relatively late, the seasonal trends have already kicked in and it will be difficult to generate a rally in corn or soybeans going forward without some type of "scare".
Good Luck!
