Subject: No-till corn into hay field

NE OH
Folks, I am planning on cutting hay off of about 16 acres and then no-tilling corn into the stubble. I was wondering if I should spray my burn-down and pre-emerge prior to planting or immediately following. Two years ago I sprayed off some sod ground in late April and losing the established plants cause the soil to stay saturated after we had some rain. I am worried about this happening again, as we are very prone to wet springs here in NE Ohio. I know that sounds pretty ridiculous when the rest of the country wants some moisture but that's what we have to deal with here. I plan on doing this between May 1st-7th depending on weather, as I want to try to get the hay dried. I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks!
