I need to put some sort of scratching post in for our bull, seems he likes rubbing aginst his building. Any good ideas on a homemade scratching post?

I have heard of using an old street sweeper broom. I have always wanted to do this but....

just drill a hole and drop the biggest most crooked hedge post you can find, it will take him some time but he will polish it smooth for you.

I had a bull that would scratch his belly on a pride of the farm waterer. Neighbors swore he never mounted a cow but would mount that waterer daily!

A street sweeper broom works good, just set a fence post and put the broom over it

if you can't find any street sweeper brooms, just take a thick post and tack some carpet or old rugs to it.
