NW KS/ SC ID | Hey Everyone,
My boss is having troubles with his John Deere 4650, and is not sure what could be wrong with it, due to its slightly odd symptoms.
It is getting compression in the radiator, immediately after startup, and at idle. The compression is also uniform, no puffiness at all.
It isnt getting a drop of coolant in the oil, doesnt appear to have blowby, no color to the exhaust, etc. If it didnt pressurize the radiator (and puke a few quarts of coolant out if filled near the top of radiator) we wouldnt think anything is wrong with it.
We feel that if it did it only after warmup, it would be a head crack, and at higher RPMS and boost pressure, an Intercooler, and if it was more puffy, a head gasket leaking at one cylinder.
Of course, we may be wrong, and be misdiagnosing it, so that is where you knowledgeable folks come in! So I ask you, what do you think is wrong with the tractor?
any input appreciated, thank you! | |
